EverHud Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026 · Controller: Nicolás Cieri (developer of EverHud). EverHud is free, has no user accounts and no analytics.
What EverHud does. It shows your own AI agents (Grok, Codex, Claude) on your Even Realities G2 glasses and lets you answer them with the R1 ring and your voice. Everything happens between your phone and your Mac («EverHud for Mac»), which you install and control.
Permissions and why:
network: connect to your own EverHud for Mac through its secure Cloudflare tunnel (trycloudflare.com). Only when no known address answers does the app askeverhud.comfor your Mac's current address, identified by an id derived from your Mac's public key. That record is signed by your Mac and verified on the phone. everhud.com stores only that address, the public key and a timestamp: it never sees your messages, which stay end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with the key exchanged through the QR code.g2-microphone: record your voice only while you dictate a message to an agent. Audio travels end-to-end encrypted to your Mac, which transcribes it on-device with Apple's speech recognition and discards it. Nothing is sent to an agent until you choose Send on the glasses. No audio is stored.camera: scan, once, the pairing QR code shown by your Mac (single use, expires in 10 minutes). The image is processed on the phone and is never stored or sent.
Your agents and conversations. EverHud for Mac reads, only to show them on your glasses, the conversation lists and recent messages of the agent apps installed on your Mac (Grok, Codex, Claude), and sends what you dictate or choose to the agent you are looking at. It never reads your credentials for those services. That data leaves your Mac only end-to-end encrypted to your paired phone.
What is stored and where.
- On the phone (the Even app's local storage for EverHud): the pairing (a device id and the encryption key from the QR), your settings, a cache of the last screen you saw, the last messages you sent from the glasses, and an optional glasses-battery log that never leaves the phone. Unpairing deletes the pairing.
- On your Mac (
~/EverHud): paired devices and the relay state, encrypted with AES-256-GCM; the master key lives in the macOS Keychain. Replies are kept only until they are delivered to the phone.
Third parties (chosen by you, not by the developer):
- The agent providers you already use: your messages go to xAI (Grok), OpenAI (Codex) or Anthropic (Claude) through the apps and accounts on your Mac, exactly as if you typed them there.
- xAI, only if you save your own xAI key on the Mac: fallback transcription when on-device recognition is unavailable, and short general «quick answers». Time, dates, maths and conversions are answered on your Mac.
- Cloudflare (quick tunnel, no account): carries the traffic between phone and Mac when they are not on the same network. It sees only end-to-end encrypted data, except the reply your Grok routine posts back to your Mac, which is protected by TLS only.
- everhud.com: the signed address record described above.
